Washington Post: EBay Plans to Shut Down Half.com Subsidiary
My spin Frankly, I never used half.com. On eBay one can bid for products or use the "buy now" feature, which many ebay sellers also make available for their products - so half.com is redundant.
News Clip: SAN JOSE, Calif. ññ EBay Inc. announced Thursday that it would shut down Half.com, its fixed-price subsidiary for used books, CDs, videos and other common household items, in late 2004.
Half.com founder Josh Kopelman also said he would leave the company's office in Plymouth Meeting, Penn., effective April 15. (full story)
