Technologymarketing.com goes deap inside Dell's new printer business
My spin Technologymarketnig.com's Jonathan Angel interviewed Tim Peters, Dell's vp and general manager of imaging and printing, for more on Dell's new printing program. Here's why other vendors have not done what Dell has done:
TM: Why do you think that other vendors have never done this, when they do have software that goes as far as showing the drivers the ink tank levels. Channel conflict?
TP: You nailed it. Technically, there's no reason anyone else couldn't have done this. We took the kinks out and made it more usable, but channel conflict is definitely the reason our competitors haven't moved down this path.
