eWeek: PeopleSoft to Add IM Capabilities to New Portal
My spin Instant Message has long been the domain of kids and businesses (free agents, smaller businesses, etc) who want to communicate quickly with their virtual teams. Now larger companies are building better security into IM solutions - and selling them. Trickle down economics (and IM-ing) at work (pun intended).
News Clip: HANNOVER, GermanyóPeopleSoft Inc. introduced a new enterprise portal Friday and previewed plans to incorporate instant messaging capabilities from the three leading IM providers into it. The company also said it plans to provide pre-built integration to connect its SRM (supplier relationship management) products to SAP AG's financial modules. (full story)
