News Factor: Verizon Delivers Webcam Access
My spin: Hmmm..maybe I'm missing something here but viewing a web cam on your phone? Can you imagine how slow that might be?
Verizon Wireless has hooked up with webcam technology frontrunner Logitech in launching a service that can deliver real-time video from just about anywhere to the carrier's Get It Now customers.
Subscribers with the appropriate phones and service contracts can view live images from personal or publicly installed web cameras, which have fast developed into watchful eyes on people, personal property and cityscapes. (full story)
