News Factor: Coalition Unveils Linux Financial Software
My spin: The Linux market is growing...especial in the enterprise space. But can it dent Windows in the small business arena? With a lot of help from VARs it will make SOME inroads.
Reuters has released a Linux version of its financial services application, Reuters Market Data System (RMDS). According to the company, initial testing demonstrated that performance on a Linux-based system was "between two and five times greater than that of a competing Unix platform."(full story)
