ACCPAC Announces Support for Sun's Linux Product Line
My spin: I don't think there's a swarm of businesses crying for ACCPAC on Linux. HOWEVER, it's sure a good step that ACCPAC is willing and able to support a cross platform of operating systems.
NEW YORK, Jan. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- LINUXWORLD (BOOTH #945) -- ACCPAC International, Inc., a subsidiary of Computer Associates International, Inc. , announced today it has certified its ACCPAC Advantage Series(TM) and ACCPAC Pro Series(TM) accounting applications for deployment on Sun Microsystems' Linux-based product line including the new x86-based entry level server, the LX50. Both ACCPAC Advantage Series and ACCPAC Pro Series are designed to address the accounting needs of the small and mid-size business market and each serve as a foundation for ACCPAC's integrated suite of end-to-end business management applications.(full story)
