E-Mail Overload Is a Myth, Study Says
My spin: a) SPAM is a problem for many, including me. HOWEVER, I think that on corporate networks spam is less of a problem then the flood of email over all from friends, family, business associates and etc.
Most American workers are not -- repeat not -- overwhelmed by stuffed e-mail inboxes or vast amounts of spam, according to a new study that contradicts conventional wisdom that e-mail has become a major burden on people's lives.
About 60 percent of workers surveyed for the study by the Washington-based Pew Internet & American Life Project said they receive an average of 10 or fewer messages per day. (full story)
