News Factor: Don't Buy the Windows 98 Forced Upgrade
My spin:Microsoft is discontinuing support for Windows 98, but I wouldn't lose sleep over it. By now, there's problem enough issues that you can handle yourself, or as this News Factor article points out, find solutions to online, or even from friends
Microsoft's move is equivalent to an auto mechanic refusing to work on your car because it's more than five years old. Or being forced to replace your appliances every five years because their manufacturers refuse to service them. (full story)
