Efficient Networks Releases New Generation of Powerline Home Networking Devices

DALLAS, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Efficient Networks Inc., a subsidiary of Siemens Corp. and a global leader in digital subscriber line (DSL) customer premises equipment (CPE), today announced the addition of three new powerline home networking devices to its SpeedStream Home Networking Product Family. The products allow consumers to use electrical wires in the home to create an affordable new home network from scratch, or enhance an existing home network. With USB, Ethernet, or wireless connectivity, the products -- including the SpeedStream(R) 2501, 2502, and 2521 -- integrate seamlessly with existing home networking technologies, eliminating the need for additional wiring when adding network nodes, increasing the reach of wireless networks, and saving valuable desktop real estate by plugging directly into electrical outlets.
