Corel's WordPerfectÆ Office Tools Chosen by Gateway for Consumer PCs

Gateway Pre-Loads Corel's Productivity Software on Select Consumer PC Lines Sold in North America

Ottawa, Canada ≠ October 15, 2002 ≠ Corel Corporation (NASDAQ: CORL, TSX: COR) today announced that Gateway, Inc. has selected the company's WordPerfectÆ Office tools as the productivity solution for select models of its popular consumer PCs. Gateway becomes the fourth major hardware manufacturer to bundle Corel's WordPerfect Office tools on its leading consumer lines this year.

Starting this week, WordPerfect 10 and QuattroÆ Pro 10, offered together as part of a WordPerfect Productivity Pack, will come pre-loaded on Gateway 300 S series desktops sold in North America.
