Yahoo set to take speed challenge
CNet: Yahoo is poised to unveil its long-awaited broadband partnership with SBC Communications, a deal that marks a major test in the Web portal's bid to turn millions of its users, first attracted by free services, into paying customers. (full story)
My spin:Yahoo's push to sell broadband combines with 'net based services is interesting. Their play is mainly for consumers I would think - like selling music downloads, more storage space (for photo photos and the like), however Yahoo also has a chance to sell value added online services to businesses. Let's see what happens?
