Bachmann Software and Clarinet Systems Team Up to Offer Students and Teachers Wireless Network Printing from Palm Powered Handhelds
PrintBoy remains the top choice among educators for Palm OS printing solutions
SAN ANTONIO (June 18, 2002)--Today at the National Educational Computing Conference (NECC) in San Antonio, Bachmann Software is announcing that its PrintBoy application will now support printing from Palm OS(r) based devices to Clarinet Systems' EthIR LAN high-speed infrared LAN access system. Since many schools do not have the resources to arrange for extensive networking, Clarinet Systems and Bachmann Software have teamed to produce an easy solution that allows teachers and students to rapidly produce hard copies of their handheld data, while leveraging the IR port already included on Palm Powered(tm) handhelds. link to Bachmann Software
My spin: There's the HYPE of technology and then the practical aspects of technology and this is one example. PDAs are very valuable tools if use correct, being able to print documents from one's PDA to a printer makes the PDA even more valuable!
