Consumers Increasingly Turn to Web to Connect With Local Service-Based Businesses
Palo Alto, Calif., May 14, 2002 รณRespond Networks today released for the first time new insight into how online consumers are using the Internet to research and initiate transactions with service-based businesses. Respond's analysis is drawn from its extensive network of buyers, sellers and partners, which combined reach nearly 50% of the Internet audience on a monthly basis. The research demonstrates at the highest level that companies and consumers are increasingly using the Internet to buy and sell services. While several research firms and companies have analyzed consumer behavior with respect to products, the report represents the first analysis of service-based activity on the Internet.
