Intuit Expands Award-Winning Quickbase Service to Meet the Needs of Corporate Workgroups
Enhanced Web-based Service Now Helps Both Corporate Workgroups And Small Businesses Easily Manage Everyday Business Processes And Information --
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - April 8, 2002 - Answering the call of customer demand, Intuit Inc. (NASDAQ:INTU) today introduced an extension of its popular, easy-to-use Intuit(r) QuickBase( service with QuickBase for Corporate Workgroups. Specifically designed to meet the needs of corporate workgroups of 10 to 200 people, this Web-based service offers users easy access to their own centralized databases to share information. Corporate workgroups can use QuickBase to track sales prospects, manage
projects, share customer service information, and hundreds of other tasks where there is currently no easy solution. With enhanced features such as increased database size, role-based permissions and customizable workflow and notifications, this service can help workgroups dramatically improve communication and productivity, as well as reduce project administration or customer service costs by up to 50 percent.1
My spin:I use the free DBMan from Gossamer-Threads but you've got to know a bit about HTML and have a nack for some light progamming. Quickbase is an excellent solution for businesses who want to quickly, easily and economically set up databases that can be shared with others.
