Oracle small business suite introduces feature packed release

Continued Improvements Make Suite Most Flexible and Easiest Way to Run a Growing Business

Redwood Shores, CA. March 11, 2002- Oracle Corp., the largest provider of software for e-business, today announced the launch of Oracle“ Small Business Suite version 7.6, powered by NetLedger, which further enhances the ease-of-use and advanced feature set of the award-winning Oracle Small Business Suite. The Oracle Small Business Suite helps companies manage key business functions online in a single, integrated system, without the hassle and expense of maintaining their own IT
systems.

Key to this new release is the addition of Custom Records, which will allow a business to utilize the Suite to maintain a database of information unique to their operation. For example, a property management company could create a database
of all of their properties with fields representing all of the information it needs to maintain about the property such as number of units, size of the units, maintenance schedule, etc. The Custom Records feature is integrated with the core business information in a company such as its customer and product lists.

My spin: Nothing much to say except it's great Oracle is adding new features and it is a good product. But I wonder how long Oracle can push and advertise this product - is it making money yet.
