Web services - not just for big businesses
Web services - can greatly enhance the functionality of a web site and thus provide an enhanced level of servies to the end user of that web site.
BizReport: High prices have prevented many small and midsize companies from integrating the Internet with their businesses, but according to a new study, the time is right for investment.
The study, by research and advisory firm Gartner, said prices are dropping in 2002 for two types of Internet infrastructure products: e-commerce and Web content management. "The high costs of Web tools have prevented SMBs from building more dynamic Web sites; but with prices for Web content management products falling, SMBs should take advantage of this market opportunity to purchase the tools required to take their sites to the next level," Gartner said.
