Staples is cutting stores and laying off people
Staples Cuts 326 Jobs, to Close 30 Stores (Reuters)
Staples Inc. (SPLS.O), the second largest U.S. office supply store, said on Friday it has cut 326 positions from its work force of 51,000, and plans to close 30 stores over the next two to three months in a bid to offset the impact of a weak U.S. economy and stay competitive.
