Earthlink: Free home networking for broad band users
ZDNet.com is reporting that Earthlink will offer a gateway, for free, to customers who sign up for high speed net access. The gateway will enable multiple devices to connetc to one device and share resources such as printers, scanners and Internet access. Earthlink will offer a wireless gateway for $150 - hafl price through March 31.
According to ZDNet Earthlink has 4.8 million customers but only 471,000 of them are high speed access users. AT $50 a month for broad band, compared to $22 for regular dial up access - broad band is better for Earthlink and I thnk for many of its customers.
